| My Association With The Future Zone |

Having always wanted to do more and do differently, after doing my
Bachelor of Technology program in Textile Technology from The
Technological Institute of Textile & Sciences, I decided to study
further and applied and got selected for PG Fashion Technology at
NIFT-Delhi. |
 |
|
The initial days at NIFT were exciting with a whole new sphere to
explore, much to learn and a lot of exposure. But slowly, the
realization and the feeling of not being able to get where I always
wanted to be again started to set in. With new ideas and energy exudating some where inside me but not being able to use this, was
really frustrating. Life is all about growth, being able to get where
you always wanted and realize your goals. |
 |
|
An all rounder at NIFT, among the top 5 students, proactive in the
extracurricular activities, putting in extra effort into daily college
assignments/ projects still left me feeling dissatisfied at some level.
At the end of the first year for my summer internsip I did a routine
project like all others and the feeling of not doing something relevant
and effective intensified. During my second year by a coincidence I got
in touch with the Future Zone and life has completely changed since
then. |
 |
 |
 |
|
I attended the Future Zone CGOP Workshop in October and my life, career
have taken a completely different route since then. What I really wanted
(there were so many things) came from just one source – The Future Zone. Soft
Skills training, my personal SWOT analysis, Knowledge support in my
current area of study –Fashion Technology, Leadership skills etc… |
 |
|
The lessons I learnt at the CGOP helped me to maintain a balance between
academics and extra curricular activities. I was selected by the TFZ to be
a member of the TFZ Young Consultants team and was guided on
my first relevant research project The Emergence of Apparel Industry in
The National Capital Region. |
 |
|
I got to do an equally relevant time diploma project i.e Measuring
Supply Chain Efficiency of Reebok’s Vendors. The Future Zone fit in this
word Reebok, which has given my research a completely new dimension all
together. |
 |
|
The learning by attending the various workshops of TFZ, started the
process of my translation into a professional from a student. Like most
students I did not have any apprehensions when I went for my campus
interviews and got short listed for all the companies I sat for finally
had to go with the one who confirmed me first, now my bags are packed
and am ready to join MRS Fashions, Bahrain. |
 |
|
I think everyone has dreams. TFZ helps nurturing those dreams if you are
a go getter. If you have not been a part of it, you are really missing
not just something, but everything. |
